Method of Preparation

Mix shortening, sugar, vanilla and egg together till it is creamy. Take a large bowl and sieve all the dry ingredients together. Add the water, dry ingredients, raisins, and oats to the creamed mixture. Drop on the cookie sheet. Bake at 325 to 350 degrees for about 7 to10 minutes or more till is lightly brown and now the crispy oatmeal cookies is ready to taste.
