Method of Preparation

Boil the rice and after it is cooked. Drain and keep aside. Drain pineapple and take 1 cup of juice. Dissolve gelatine in 1 cup boiling water and add the juice into it. Stir well and add drained rice. The cooked rice will absorb the colour and flavour of the gelatine. Mix well and chill until thickened but not quite set. Add drained pineapple and cherries if you wish. Fold this in cream that has been whipped. Refrigerate and serve the chilled Glorified Rice. This makes about 8 servings.
