It is best to avoid refined sugar, honey, jaggery, cake, jelly, jam, ice-cream, pastries, canned juice, chocolates, pie, syrup, doughnuts, artificial sweeteners, cream and cookies. Next avoiding fried foods and boiling, baking, steaming or sauting vegetables helps. Fruit juices are best avoided or drunk diluted with 3 to 4 parts of water. Avoiding starchy vegetables like squash, yam, potatoes, and parsnips and limiting carrots, beans, peas and beet helps.



Next fruits like prunes, mango, custard apple, grapes, and strawberry and foods like olives, bacon, dried fruits, junk foods and nuts are best avoided. However nuts like almonds, pecans and walnuts that are rich in mono unsaturated fat can be taken. High sodium content in soy sauce, MSG, brine, and salad dressings like mustard, mayonnaise and avocado are best avoided.

Avoiding cheese in the form of cream cheese, butter, cottage cheese and margarine and high cholesterol with consumption of egg yolks, high-fat meat, poultry, and high-fat dairy products are best avoided. Lastly hydrogenated oils or partially hydrogenated oils and refined flour in pasta, white bread, all purpose flour, pretzels, puffs, pizza and processed foods are also best avoided.
